Community Transformations

Masiphumelele is a Township in Cape Town with a name meaning “we will succeed.” But like any other Township in this area, it is overcome with poverty, fatherlessness, disease, child-headed homes, and crime. The people are often overcome by hopelessness, despair, and a view that they do not have hope for a future. But we believe that God has a mighty plan for this community and its people…a story of success.

In order to see this success story come to pass we have invested into the lives of this community through planting simple churches, sports ministry, working with child-headed homes, music ministry, community development, and through our relationship showing them there is hope in Jesus Christ.

This is a real life story of a young men in Masiphumelele:

Alfred’s (not his real name) single mother was unable to support herself, let alone her son. So he did what many have done…he went to live with his Grandmother in Masiphumelele. Not long after Alfred had left, his mother passed away.
While he was living with his Grandmother he became connected with our basketball church ministry. In this ministry we get together, play basketball, read the Word, and share Jesus with others. Through his experience with this group he gave his life to Jesus. After that Alfred was transformed into a man of passion for God.

Longing to learn more about this God he served he decided to do a DTS. It was during his DTS that God told him to do his outreach in India. God was telling him to do the impossible. He came from the poorest of families, his even doing the DTS should have been impossible. But, he had faith that God would provide…and God did. Alfred was the first man from his township to ever go over seas!

Through this experience he has decided to give his life to missions and he is now taking part in a Church Planting School with All Nations.

Join us and be a part of seeing God transform lives like this young man’s.
