Our Urban Ministries are involved in a wide range of outreaches across the Cape Town Metropolitan area.

Youth and Children:
We focus on reaching urban youth and children by ministering in high schools and camps, visiting prison youth, volunteering in orphanages and disabled children's homes, facilitating after-school community programs for children at-risk, and reaching out to local street kids through evangelism, face painting, and recreational sports at a local flea market. Additionally both our Soccer World Cup ministry and our Drug / Prostitution ministry are active participants in South African national anti-drug, anti-crime, and anti-child trafficking campaigns.

Evangelism and Community Development:
Our Soccer World Cup ministry is preparing to mobilize churches and teams for evangelism. LSFM ministry reaches out to the disadvantaged townships through evangelism, church planting and development projects like sewing and computer classes. We are involved in women’s support through Pregnancy Help Center and craft training. We assist refuges through job-creation and English language workshops. Additionally we volunteer with a community development project in a rural, farming community just outside of Cape Town.

Urban Ministry Vision Statement:
Urban Ministries Muizenberg works to introduce God’s Kingdom into broken communities (affected by crime, HIV/AIDS, poverty, domestic violence, fatherlessness, addiction, etc.) to see restoration & transformation through a holistic approach.

Mission Statement:
We reach these communities through: evangelism, sports, arts, media, counseling, church planting, support groups, children & orphans ministry, prison ministry and community development programs.
